Many of my students face challenges that make it difficult for them to stay focused in class. I'm always thinking of creative ways to make my lessons more engaging and exciting. Incorporating the use of dry erase boards is one sure way to keep my students focused and on task from beginning to end.
I teach third-grade in a high poverty, low socioeconomic school district.
My students are very energetic and enthusiastic about learning. I work diligently to create lessons that will keep them constantly engaged. The days of lectures, book work, and paper-pencil tasks is such a mundane way to teach and for students to learn. I need your support to help provide resources that will enable me to creatively engage my students in their learning from the start of a lesson to the very end. Our school was rated as a low performing school. I need all the help I can get to help my students reach their greatest academic potential.
My Project
Your donations of the dry-erase boards with markers, and voice recorder boxes, will aide me in making learning exciting for all of my students. Also, it will aide in keeping them actively engaged in the process of meaningful activities with no lull parts during instructional time. Having dry erase boards and markers for each student and voice recorder boxes will encourage students to be active participants in their learning and stay focused on the lesson. It will also help me as a teacher to use different assessment strategies in real time to see if my students have an understanding of the concept being taught, and to clear up any misunderstandings right away. Each student having their own dry erase board and marker to write with will add a new sense of excitment to their learning and to my teaching!
The opportunity for my students to have their own dry erase board and marker to write with will add a new sense of excitment to their learning and my teaching.
This is a wonderful way for me to make an informal assessment during instructional time and enable me to see which students understood the concept being taught and those who didn't. Your donations will allow me to continue my endeavor to creatively bring new ways of engaging my students in their learning.
