My students are in need of math manipulatives for both whole group and small group learning. In 3rd grade, students learn many math skills that are necessary, lifelong math skills such as multiplication, division, telling time, elapsed time, fractions, and many more skills. Math is best learned when students can use manipulatives and other hands-on items. This helps them learn math concepts rather than just memorizing procedures. These items like clocks, base tens and number lines will help students have a better understanding of what they are learning, as well, practice these concepts. Many of these items will be used throughout the year and not just within one unit.
