My Project

I am trying to teach my students how to take control of their own learning. This year in my classroom we'll be working on students timing their own breaks, self-chunking, and making personal learning goals each day. The majority of my students have Autism Spectrum Disorder and this will be very new to them. We will be implementing a token economy to help motivate them and to ease into this new system by making it fun.

Please give my students items that they can buy from our classroom store using the points they've earned from successfully pacing their own learning.

Learning to be on task and making their own goals without constant teacher prompts will help my students to take control of their learning as well as of their lives in the future. This classroom store will provide the initial push to get the students motivated.
