My students come to school every day excited and ready to learn! They are eager to learn and try new things. I want them to know that I believe in them and they can do anything! I teach at a Title 1, pre-k through 2nd-grade school in inner-city Ohio where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Most of the students are living at or below the poverty line. My students are creative, caring, and very energetic. Our classroom is a hands-on learning community. I work with children who are four and five year-olds.
Their ability to love learning excites me to find new and exciting ways to teach things to them.
They love to learn about new things. They love to look up information online together and will ask many questions to learn as much as they can.
My Project
Dress up play is an important part of pretend play. The dramatic play center is always a social skills-rich environment in our classroom. Pretend play helps children understand the power of language and nurtures their imaginations. Pretend play in the preschool classroom is full of educational value. As students create a restaurant, put out a fire, or help an injured puppy together, they are learning to solve problems, coordinate, cooperate, and think flexibly. My students will gain experience with important life skills through pretend play with these dress-up items.
