This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a class of energetic, eager to learn 5-year-old students. For my class project, "Learning Is READ-iculously Fun in Kindergarten," I am asking for the complete set of SPLASH reading games and touch and read write and wipe cards. These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because reading games make learning to read fun and engaging. This helps young children develop foundational literacy skills like letter recognition, phonics, and sight word recognition while fostering a positive attitude towards reading through playful activities and immediate feedback, ultimately motivating them to continue practicing and improving their reading abilities. It is my goal to make learning how to read and write words fun, educational, and developmentally appropriate. What better way to learn how to read than in a way that is fun, engaging and seems like playing not learning.
