Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are from low income families with diverse backgrounds. My students come to school excited and eager to learn. Many of my students do not have a strong literacy background. These literacy materials and games such as the Alphabet Soup Sorters, Alphabet Acorns Activity set, and Magic Board Printing cards will help my students with letter recognition and sounds, along with supporting letter formation through fine motor skills.
The teaching resources will support these skills and the first step in my students learning to read and write.
My students will begin to sound out and build words. These tools will help set my students up for success and better prepare them for first grade.
