My Students
"I love school!" How many of you remember being very little and writing your first words? Do you remember how excited you were and the big smile you shared?
Help my kindergarteners learn the alphabet so they can learn to build words too!
My students come to me not knowing how to write their name or even sit in a square on the carpet.
By the end of the year, they are writing stories, sitting in chairs, adding and subtracting, reading and so much more!
So much learning and growing happens in a kindergarten classroom every day. They love to laugh and play and share their new knowledge with anyone that will listen. They become excited with every achievement they make and share in the success of their peers. There is so much joy in our room!
My Project
My students need playdough stampers, clay dough, and letter building materials to help them learn the alphabet. These materials that I am requesting will help my students identify letters, match uppercase and lowercase letters and learn that the alphabet has a specific order. They will then begin to "stamp" words they know with the stampers such as their name and people they know names. As they continue to grow they will be able to use the stampers to build sight words that we learn each week. And eventually they will be able to use these materials to build sentences! The options and opportunities that these materials will give my students are endless!!
These materials will provide endless possibilities of learning.
They will replace worn and outdated materials in the classroom and will allow my present and future Kindergarten friends to enter first grade as confident readers and writers. Thank you for believing in the power of literacy and knowing it can change lives!
