My students need the Interactive literacy activities, dramatic play clothes, and classroom materials in order to learn, play, laugh and grow together this school year!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Always wear a smile, because your smile is the reason for so many others smiles. This is our classroom motto and we strive to make each child find the fun in learning in their own way each day! Learning is FUNdamental.
Our students are truly amazing.
We are an inclusive classroom servicing both general and special education students. We are a Title I school with 90% of our students receiving free or reduced price lunch, meaning their family income is below the poverty line. Many of our students are English Language Learners. Together with the support of our community, our school continues to brighten their futures and provide them with a safe and warm learning environment each and every day!
My Project
With the Smart Pencil Interactive literacy centers our students will be able to take more ownership of their learning. With the interactive pencil talking to them they will be able to navigate many fun and engaging activities including phonics, phonemic awareness, word work and more! With the Dress up costumes our students will be able to learn about many community members by engaging with their peers through dramatic play. With the many school supplies and arts materials such as glue sticks, Velcro, dry erase markers, and laminating pouches we will be able to complete many projects and even invite our family members into the classroom to take part with us since we will have enough supplies for everyone!
We can change the world with our own two hands!
However, we need your help to get the supplies that we need into the hands of our students. Your donations will not only put smiles on the faces of eager first graders, but will allow them to develop academically and socially as well as put an emphasis on creativity and independence as we explore all the wonders of first grade!
