This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are showing amazing growth this year. I love watching them apply new knowledge to real-life exploration. My students will use these gardening toys, balancing stones, and brain flakes to put their math and science skills to the test with hands-on applications.
Look what I can do!
I hear this daily from my students as they discover what is possible when they have support from friends, family, and teachers. These hands-on tools require experimentation, creative thought, and applied knowledge. Building and creating with a variety of manipulatives builds critical thinking skills and encourages cooperative play. My class enjoyed our sweet pea garden as part of your science project during our first semester. This semester the students will continue studying life cycles by growing sunflowers and studying ladybugs to be released in our garden this spring.
My students are learning to encourage, support, and help each other as part of their day-to-day experiences. My families love that their children love school!
