My Students

My students are young, eager, fun learners. They are learning to sit and listen quietly to a story being read; they are learning to participate respectfully in a group setting and they love to socialize. The fundamentals of kindergarten are being taught and they are motivated to learn.

My students are enthusiastic learners that come from many different backgrounds.

They love to be social with one another and are ready to be in school.

They have fun personalities and constantly ask questions because of their curiosity about the world around them. They learn the best with hands-on creating and learning, and in smaller groups. My school is in a low to middle-class neighborhood and has a broad demographic range.

My Project

To help my students learn amid the pandemic, we could use more hands-on learning materials in my classroom due to the nature of how kindergarteners learn. I am in need of a multitude of learning materials that can be disinfected or shelved after each use. Fishing for Sight Words and the extra fishing poles will allow more students to play and learn, with a fun sight word game, throughout the week. The puzzle racks will allow me to disinfect the puzzles and give ample drying space for the puzzles to be used daily. Puzzles work those fine motor skills they need to write and cut with and help to develop a child's spatial awareness.

By donating to our project, you will help to increase the academic achievement of my students and their willingness to learn.

These items will increase their attention and focus as they learn. The Launch and Learn Language games will help my students build their vocabulary and language skills along with increasing their ability to match rhyming sounds, upper- and lowercase letters, and beginning sounds.

To make any unit more engaging, my students learn best through play. Through play, they can learn essential skills such as problem-solving, working with others, sharing, taking turns, and more. In turn, this helps them develop the ability to concentrate. We all know, the more a kindergartener can concentrate, the more they can learn.
