My Students

All children can learn if strongly supported and enthusiastically encouraged. I believe when a learning environment with high expectations of achievement is introduced, perpetuated by the classroom teacher and supported by the school and community, students cultivate an "I CAN do it" attitude and perform to and beyond expectations despite challenges they may face. As a teacher in this striving, exceeding, and succeeding environment, I am challenged to develop and foster a high expectation/high achievement. I have a classroom full of students who are motivated and excited to see growth in their academics. Every child is expected to have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the philosophy and Common Core State Standards. Students are eager to learn and are excited and thrilled by technology and hands-on projects that are rich and meaningful. In order to provide my students with the right learning that’s engaging and supportive, I will have to design a well-thought-out and effective lesson that will reach their attention, keep them focused, and have the materials available to keep them learning.

My Project

Students inspire me to try new things and find interesting lessons for them. Since the pandemic, most students need that hands-on learning that will motivate them to level up in their learning. Many students do not have everyday access to resources that will instill knowledge in a fun way! These activities will assist with their learning and education. Students are now more excited than ever to come to school to see their friends and participate in daily activities when it's fun and engaging. They need this in this type of environment. My students love hands-on activities with materials to build, explore and write. In my class, we make the most of what we have with the one-to-one technology, and the little resources provided. We use online math, science, and reading programs, interactive programs and worksheets throughout the day. We also create, build, and use technology daily to promote learning.
