My Students
A typical day in my classroom is very energetic and faced paced. We have children working in different groups, speaking in multiple languages and enjoying what they are doing. Students are often working on a similar concept or skill, but in a way that meets their needs.
My third grade students are from different ethnic backgrounds from all over the world.
They are fun, and friendly children. They are sweet and caring, they are happy to see one another learn. My school is very vibrant. We are a village that shares and cares for each others students.
My Project
Using tablets gives my students the ability to practice reading skills on their level. They can practice letter sound relationships, as well as building muscles in their mouths to speak that they may not use when speaking a different language. There are also learning to annunciate and pronounce things clearly as well as project. They are not afraid to take record themselves for fluency practice when they know no one else is listening except them and the teacher. They love to hear themselves. A half an hour before school starts each day I allow the kids to come up and I help them with homework and let them use computers. Sometimes I do not have enough computers. I also work with groups on skills.
