Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in a Title I school, located in Los Angeles County where most of our students come from low-income households. Ninety-three percent of the students receive free lunch. My students are not only diverse in their cultural backgrounds but also in their learning styles.
My class is an Autism Special Education class.
My students are in the 3rd and 4th grade. Of my students, 90% are English Learners and receive services such as speech, occupational therapy, and social-emotional therapy. My students are awesome! They are eager to learn.
My Project
A Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will help my students learn while having fun. Teachers Pay Teachers has many interactive, fun, and engaging worksheets that are aligned to common core standards. During this difficult time, my students have been struggling with paper and pencil lessons. Students with special needs, need to be engaged in lessons to understand core concepts.
The donation to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of core subjects in a fun, authentic, and meaningful way.
By purchasing interactive digital worksheets, my students will enjoy learning once again. We will use these materials to aid us in the process of becoming life-long learners. As a teacher I have spent countless hours creating engaging worksheets, I have found interactive worksheets that are aligned to core standards have increased student retention of material. I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
