Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have 24 quiet, inquisitive 5th grade gifted students who have many different ethnic backgrounds. Being located in South Florida creates a "melting pot" group of diversity.
Their backgrounds are diverse, learning styles are different, and levels are diversified; what more can you ask for?
Each and every one of my students has the inner drive and same eagerness to absorb as much learning and information as possible, taking into account they all have diverse learning styles.
Within my 24 gifted students are many varying cultures, lifestyles, and even languages, which is why we have such a large ELL group.
My Project
My students are a diverse group of learners with many different learning styles. The different styles of seating will allow them to find the perfect style that matches their individual need to learn and focus so that they stay on target and achieve!
Our classroom will delve into the 21st century with the ease of incorporating the infamous Echo Dot and blue tooth speakers in their learning and expansion of knowledge to ask questions and think out of the box.
By having flexible seating and a comfy carpet, along with the low fluorescent lights, it will allow students to be focused, comfortable, and more open to learning with a smile. It will also allow for collaboration with one another to achieve their highest success in all areas of learning.
Finally, having a supply of colored ink will allow my 5th graders to create and display their research, charts, and masterpieces!
