Learning in the Lab Available to All

Help me give my students lab stools to help students who cannot stand for a long period, allowing them to focus on the lab.

My Project

Teaching science is best done by hands-on experiments. Better than 30% of the time, students are in my class, and we spend time in the lab doing experiments and investigations. Lab experiments allow students the opportunity to engage with their team and see science happen. During lab, students not only learn science, but they also learn teamwork, communication skills, data analysis skills, and critical thinking.

Lab stools will allow students who are unable to stand the entire time we are in the lab for 90 minutes the opportunity to sit.

In a high school, many students are faced with physical challenges that make it difficult for them to stand for a long period of time. Lab Stools would make the lab area more inviting and would help remove the distraction that comes from standing for a long period of time at a lab table. Lab stools will allow students to focus on the investigation, be more engaged, and learn by doing science.
