Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an energetic group of children that are eager to learn. They love to work on hands-on projects and enjoy working with one another in groups. My students come from many different countries and there are over 5 languages spoken in my room. This diversity makes my classroom unique. We embrace everyone's culture by celebrating many different traditions. Our neighborhood also reflects this diversity. As a school, we always try to incorporate the diversity into our day to day activities.

My Project

Teaching pre-k requires lots of hands-on and movement activities. These materials will help my students learn how to play as a team, teach them math skills, explore sensory skills with the tiles and practice their coordination. We currently do not have many updated outdoor/indoor materials so this will be a great exciting addition to our classroom. My Students will be eager to learn how to use each station especially the golf and cricket set. Students in urban areas are not usually exposed to these sports so it will be a great way to introduce it. I can not wait to see their faces when they see all of these great gross motor materials!
