This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My school is full of vibrant, excited learners ready for new challenges each and every day! We are a preK-8th grade school, and in every grade, we develop a strong classroom community to support one another. My school is made up of students with special needs, gifted students, and English language learners. We fill our days with rigorous academics and extraordinary teachers. My students all come from lower-income families that struggle each day to make ends meet. Many of these children face poverty and violence on a daily basis that is well beyond what most of us could imagine.
Despite all of the challenges these students face in their daily lives, each one of them comes to school ready to learn.
My Project
This color printer and scanner will allow me to make amazing, interactive, high quality materials for my learners. My special education students use visuals throughout the school day to guide instruction.
Pictures are worth a thousands words for my students with special needs.
This printer will also be used to create materials based on my student's IEP objectives, make materials to send home to parents, and much more! It will also allow us to copy and scan, as well. The additional ink will be used to continue printing these valuable materials and important IEP documents.
