My Students
My students are amazing. I know you probably hear this a lot, but seriously, they are phenomenal. They attend a Title I school in the Bronx where they each receive free breakfast and lunch daily. Our students often have the odds stacked against them but they do not let this define them.
Our students are creative, innovative and full of life, but this is only part of what makes them so phenomenal.
Our kids are continually defying odds. We have the unique ability of being a public school with a mission to help the world around us in regards to wildlife conservation. Even in an urban setting, our students are constantly coming up with ideas to not only help get the word out about species in peril, but also to help in their own neighborhoods.
My Project
My students would love to have more toner for our laser printer! Currently, we are only able to make copies in black and white but it is so much more fun and informative when our learning can take place in color. Along with the toner, we are also in need of paper so we can always ensure that we have notes to follow and blank sheets for creating diagrams and visual representations. There are many days where my students come to class and they do not have a writing utensil with them. With these pencils, it will never be an issue! We will always be ready to get our learning on!
Having these supplies means that we will never have a day when learning in color can't take place.
We will always be ready for the day, and with these materials, there will be days filled with visuals and color. I will also be able to make sure that my Self-Contained Special Education Living Environment class always has engaging resources. I make many of the materials that we use and having this toner will make sure that they always have easy to follow, vivid information.
