My students are my second set of kids! My students are first graders that come from an area of very high economic need in Irvington. They are curious, thoughtful, and eager learners. This is the period of time when they are learning to love school: a love that will hopefully follow them for years to come. Their passion for keeping learning despite the odds inspires me.
Being given the tools to succeed will make a huge difference!
My Project
This printer will allow me to create resources for each individual student in color! Right now if I need to print something, it is in poor quality gray scale, but color printing would make everything that I make POP!
With color on their pages, every student will be drawn in and engaged!
I need to print everything from Primer Readers, to activities to tests on my own. Without color, it is often hard for the students to focus and it can be difficult to determine what pictures are actually trying to portray! With color materials, they will be able to easily identify what is on every page!
