Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials that I am requesting for use in the ESOL classrooms that I serve will enable the students to feel comfortable communicating in their native language and to see how that translates into English. The students desire to learn a new language and communicate with others is evident in their smiles and the hugs they give the teachers.
There is nothing more rewarding than to see the students' learning letters and corresponding sounds.
When a student tells you they love you it is genuine. When they are able to write that on a picture that they drew for you, that is the best reward in the world. My goals for this project is to increase the ease of communicating with the diverse population that we serve.
