"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever" - Mahatma Gandhi
My classroom is based on that quote. We are a forever learners, trying to keep up in a fast paced world!
What teacher is not going to say that they have the best class out there?
I know that I will, and I do have the best class, but that does not tell anything about them. We are a wonderful 3rd grade classroom where they are excitable, giving, and all they want to do is learn. We have grown together as a unit to help each other when learning is difficult or when one student is just having "one of those days".
Some of my students have said that the only learning, reading, experiments, or any new experiences is because of the opportunity our school gives them. Once they step into our classroom there is only camaraderie and learning. With of course the occasional stopping for the conversations, which just confirms that my students work extremely well together.
My Project
With these Chromebooks our classroom will be able to take our learning to the internet. There are so many Google applications that further help learning independently or with a partner. I am asking for 9 Chromebooks so that my students can work on projects, keep up to date with new technology, and learn a new trade in our forever growing world of technology.
Computers open new ways to teach lessons which brings the ways to reinforce a skill with practice and working together.
Chromebooks in the classroom not only lets the students get to use technology but it lets the students get familiar with using a computer, keeping learning on going.
Having the materials in a classroom makes the world of difference to a child.
It's the difference of the students wanting to come to school to learn vs them dreading the classroom because it is not a fun learning environment. Please help my students love coming into the classroom to learn how to be a supporter of being a forever learner.
