Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

One of our units of study in TK is learning about animals and their basic needs. A fish tank in our classroom will allow my students to learn these concepts. They will learn about basic biology, chemistry and responsibility.

By having a fish tank in our classroom, my students will get to observe firsthand what fish need to survive.

They will learn about what they eat, their body parts and how they survive. They will have the opportunity to care for the fish as well. This includes feeding them daily and ensuring the fish are cared for.

We will also create a science center with the fish tank so that each child will has the opportunity to observe and learn about fish and their basic needs.
