This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

With Choices Scholastic Magazines my students will be able to read and discuss topics that affect their lives. It will provide a start to open communication about vital issues. My students will commit to making healthy changes in their lives. We are going to use this information to make healthy announces so the whole school will benefit from these lessons.

This generous donation will change my students' lives and hopefully the lives of their families, and how they choose to live as far as their health and well-being.

In the classroom, students will be able to read about health topics that are of interest to them. And, after we are done, they can take home and share.

My Project

Our students need help with understanding their bodies and how they work. I working with children every day that has a hard time running just a few laps. They also think that hot chips are part of a good breakfast. My students would use these magazines to read and learn more about healthy choices. Hopefully, with this knowledge that they gain, it will be shared with their friends and family. Some of my students take care of themselves and their brothers and sisters until a parent arrives at home. This will help them with making better choices when they eat, exercise and play.
