Learning How Caterpillars Become Butterflies!

Help me give my students the wonderful experience of watching caterpillars become butterflies!

My Project

My new kindergarten scientists will be learning about the life cycle of the Monarch Butterfly and they will be so excited to see their pictures, text, and videos come to life. Our science curriculum explores how an animal can only survive in a habitat where its needs are met. In each of my kindergarten classes, we will be exploring the different phases of the caterpillar's life and it will be such an amazing opportunity for them to see in real-time as they become butterfly experts.

The looks of excitement on last year's kindergarten faces were priceless as our caterpillars hatched, grew into butterflies, and were set free!

I am looking forward to doing this project again with my 2022-2023 Kindergarten class!
