This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are energetic kindergartners who are full of life. They are sweet, smart, and incredibly ready to learn! They are like little sponges, coming in each day, ready to grow and understand even more about their world!

My students are hard workers who love the arts.

I want to inspire them to be more creative and to take more risks. I want them to dream big and know that hard work will help them succeed in everything they do!

My Project

Having Osmo games in our classroom setting will be the perfect addition to our media center. It will be one of the most sought after features in our classroom enticing students to interact and learn with Osmo at differentiated levels.

Kids learn best by doing and Osmo grants them the unique opportunity of integrating tactile learning (which they need) with technology (which they love).

My kids will be able to manipulate objects to create and interact with Osmo's characters while learning letters, sounds, numbers, counting, financial literacy skills, coding, and problem-solving (just to name a few!). I am requesting games such as The Pizza Co. where students will make pizza for customers, collect payment & make change (dollars/coins), & learn how their business is profitable. Additional game concepts include: Addition, Subtraction, Fractions, mental math, design and communication skills.

This is such a versatile tool that it can be used in a multitude of components throughout our day from our media center, morning tubs, learning labs, tutoring, and enrichment programs sparking the interest, minds, learning, and creativity of my kids.
