This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year my students are eager to learn and beyond ready to keep our classroom running, despite all the challenges they face on a day to day basis. The majority of the students live in a high poverty/ low income neighborhood but forget all of that when they step in the classroom, leaving all problems outside. But now with distance learning they have to create this environment at home. The materials I'm asking for will help my students be motivated at home to continue their learning for the remainder of the school year.

My Project

Due to the Corona virus we were all rushed home with no time to plan and no materials to work with. With these items I will create a special learning bag for my students to help them learn from home. This special book bag will include a reading text, led pencils, reading chart with stickers, crayons, and a writing journal to help motivate my students to learn from home. The text book ties in well with our unit of learning, the students will enjoy the stories from this text. The easel, chart paper and markers will help me teach new material to my students from home.
