My Students
My students are always eager to learn and they want to be successful. Many of them grow up in single parent households or with a relative other than a parent. Due to the student's economic background status, 100% of them receive free lunch. Despite the hardships the students may face, they are always ready to learn.
Although I can not control what goes on in their home life, I am able to ensure that they come to school with a welcoming environment.
My Project
Learning from home is very challenging; especially for kindergarten students. Kindergarteners need a lot of modeling from their teacher when completing their work. A whiteboard makes this happen! Using a whiteboard that is big and on a stand, will make learning easier! Having a calendar will make them feel like they are in the classroom.
If a teacher is not prepared, her students are going to have a difficult time learning, ESPECIALLY while learning at home on a computer.
Having a whiteboard, Pocket Chart and calendar set at home will help my students will be more engaged in their learning during this challenging time. Please help by providing us with these necessities.
