it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a Title I School that is located in a diverse, low socio-economic neighborhood in the Bay Area. I have 25 eager to learn kindergarten students this year. Kindergarten students are enthusiastic and excited to learn. My goal is to provide them with a safe environment that foster a love of learning and a wide variety of skills and knowledge.
Kindergarten students love to explore, discover, and be creative and we need the proper supplies and materials to keep them fully engaged in their learning.
I want my classroom to be equipped with all of the materials necessary for my students to have fun while learning and be successful in all that they do.
My Project
Students will be able to complete math activities at home by having their own math manipulatives. Students will be able to practice addition, subtraction, and one to one counting. Students will be able to effectively participate in virtual lessons with their teacher and fellow classmates by having headphones with microphones.
Students currently do not have headphones with microphones to use on their devices and it is challenging for them to actively engage in virtual lessons.
By having headphones with microphones they can hear and participate in the lessons with the class. Our class is also in desperate need of copy paper to create work packets to be distributed to students and reusable bags for their materials and supplies to go in.
