This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach Kindergarten. I have 20 students who come from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
My class includes ESOL students (English Speakers of Other Languages).
My students are happy, smart and eager to find out what Kindergarten is all about.
In my class, I enjoy incorporating themes into my lessons. This is a fun way of keeping the students interested and excited. My new students are learning to write, count and read. This year, my students will enjoy working on creative projects across the curriculum. This will increase my students' time on task and promote a joy of learning.
My Project
Having a new laptop will enable me to complete my lessons effectively and in a timely manner.
With a brand new school year starting via distance learning, I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to have a brand new, reliable computer to teach my students on.
Since the Covid breakout, March 13, it has been difficult to plan and communicate with parents and students. Not having a trustworthy computer has been a challenge. Being that I teach Kindergarten, I am constantly searching for fun projects and online learning materials for my students. And most importantly, I am conducting Zoom lessons daily with my students. For these reasons, a new laptop would make a big difference in planning and searching for lessons and materials for my students.
