My Project

Teaching first grade means that it is important to give students the opportunity to work in flexible spaces that make learning comfortable, exciting, and supportive. While some students work best at tables with chairs, others work well in a space that feels inviting and comfortable for them. Not only will these bean bags chairs be used for learning needs, but they will also be used as a resource in the calm-down area of our classroom. When students feel anxiety, frustration, and overwhelming emotions, they can be met with an area to calm down, regulate their emotions, and think through their thoughts.
