My Project

I am excited to create a class store to help my 150 seventh-grade social studies students in Eastern San Diego learn about money management and budgeting.

To successfully implement this program, I seek funding to acquire necessary supplies for the store inventory.

By creating a supportive and interactive environment, I aim to empower my students with essential financial skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. Your generous support will enhance their understanding of money management and build confidence.

Together, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of my students and equip them with the tools they need to thrive. This fundraiser is particularly important as 75% of my students have been living in the United States for five years or less, often facing significant challenges adapting to a new school environment. More than 50% of my students come from low-income families, making financial education essential for fostering independence and financial well-being. The class store will provide a hands-on learning experience, allowing students to engage in real-world transactions, budgeting, and basic economic principles while promoting teamwork and responsibility.
