This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Help my students by giving them the opportunity to collaborate, design and create STEAM projects.
As a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences that will wake their natural abilities to explore and create in the real world.
My students are creative, unique and special in their own ways. They like to move, they love to read and love lots of positive attention. Many of them are being raised in foster homes or foster shelters, others come from single parent family homes and receive a free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. These things may prevent them from getting ahead early in life and may not provide them with the life experiences many of us see as "typical".
My Project
My students will benefit by getting a Cricut machine starter kit bundle. This technology will help our classroom by making our learning environment even more beautiful and will also make our lessons fun! We spend so much time in our classroom and we love it to be inviting, colorful, and inspirational. This amazing machine is the key in helping us achieve our classroom goal. We will use our Cricut to label our bulletin boards with great captions, make banners, label our instructional materials, and create t-shirts for special events and STEAM projects as they use it to create their projects and visions.
This Cricut will also allow my students to get creative and collaborate with their peers.
The Cricut machine will help us create much needed manipulatives for our Math and Science lessons. Students will be able to explore letters, words and make captions while beautifying our classroom. Thank you for taking the time to read our project and possibly donating to it.
