This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year, the ELL or English Language Learners have been placed in our class. Our ELL students vary in exposure to the English language. Some students have just arrived this year from a different country, others have been here for more, and others were born here but do not speak English at home.

Our ELL students are brilliant, inquisitive, and motivated!

These books and other tools will give them the opportunity for us to meet them where they are in their English learning journey. A lot of them need to start from the basics and that means sight words. These items will be the foundation of their learning.
