My Students
My students are English language learners who strive to excel in all aspects of education even with their language barrier. They are truly motivated and dedicated to learning English and thriving in the classroom. My goal is to give students the opportunities to overcome adversities that are unnecessarily presented in the classroom. My students are questioners and creators who will shape our future. I want to provide my students with meaningful language learning experiences to help them become leaders of their own learning.
My Project
How do students learn best? Through color!
Color positively affects the way students' brains work.
Color helps with pattern recognition, memory, and the absorption of new information. My English Language Learners love expressing themselves through drawing, and often this is the way that we can communicate with each other. Help me make learning more hands-on with playdough in teaching letter names and sounds.
I would love to give each of my students their own materials box with crayons, colored pencils, and markers. I am extremely proud of my students for their effort and excitement while learning a second language during this pandemic. I want to give my students the most engaging and hands-on experiences that I can provide them.
