Learning English Can Improve ESL Students' Emotional Well-Being!
My students need English Language Development Activity cards and Phonics games to acquire language in a fun way and decrease their anxiety and frustration.
My students are English Language Learners who attend a suburban elementary school in Washington. They come from various cultural, linguistic, and economic backgrounds, many of them receive free or reduced-price lunch, and many parents struggle to provide basic necessities for their kids.
My students might speak different languages at home, but share a love of learning at school.
They want to be successful and strive to do their best. My mission is to help them achieve their goals with the resources and support they need.
My Project
The English Language Development activity cards and Phonics Games will help my students acquire new language more efficiently in a fun and engaging way, which will improve their emotional well-being. They will be more engaged and involved in their learning while working in groups or in pairs on these activities.
These resources will help my students actively participate in in our classroom even with limited language abilities.
Using the games and activity cards will help my students take ownership of their learning and support their language development, boosting their self-esteem and setting them up for success, which is important for their mental and emotional health.
