Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Most of my students come from low- income families. Eighty six percent of the student population at our school is eligible for free lunch. My class consists of twenty four polite, intelligent, five year old kindergartners who are eager to learn. My goal is to provide my students with the tools they need to succeed.
My Project
My students will be able to participate and be held accountable during our Zoom class sessions. My students are asked to hold up their work during Zoom sessions, so I can see if they are understanding the lesson. The double sided whiteboard can be used for blending and sight word recognition, students will be able to use the side with lines to write words. It will help my students with penmanship because the lines will guide them to write uppercase and lowercase letters. The side with no lines can be used for math warm ups and anytime the students need to illustrate something.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
