Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My high school students have been working hard this year and I would like to provide them with alternative comfortable seating, especially students who have a hard time remaining seated for the duration of the class period. The chairs provided by the school are not comfortable and therefore, students cannot focus while they complete the work. Comfort is key for them to concentrate.

Comfortable seating will increase motivation because students will have a cozy learning spot in our cozy classroom.

Students do significantly better when they are in a comfortable seat and allowed to be away from their desks. While they are working in their cozy spot, students will need clipboards because they complete significant written work. Students who are not having a good day will also use the bean bag spot in our classroom to take care of their mental health. Two bean bags will not be enough for all students to enjoy but they are willing to share.
