My students need a projector screen and speakers to learn about many subjects in a fun and interactive way that STICKS in their heads!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. W.'s classroom raised $637

My Students
Do you remember being in school and enjoying a movie or interactive video your teacher showed on the lesson you were learning about?? Or what about when you used technology for the first time in one of your classes? Unfortunately, the first graders in my classroom have never experienced this.
My 24 first graders learn in a classroom with one working computer, makeshift dry erase boards and a TV/VCR attachment that has been in the room for years.
To say we are behind in the latest technology would be an understatement. However, daily my students are excited to learn, use their imagination, and keep the momentum going to learn their daily skills in all subjects. The minute I start singing a chant to help them grasp the concept, they cant get enough of bringing what they've learned TO LIFE! It is my goal to get my children aware of the world, learn how other first graders are learning (WITH TECHNOLOGY) and providing them with multiple ways of making the concept STICK in their minds! A projector and speakers would GREATLY help us!
My Project
With these items, my class would get an opportunity to watch and listen to interactive videos, watch me model challenging concepts, understand the how and WHY of many concepts by seeing real-world examples for themselves and to be competitive students to their more fortunate counterparts in our world. This projector would allow many of my students to see things they've never been exposed to. By attaching the projector set to my personal laptop, this will also be my students' first real taste of technology and the use of a computers in the classroom. With this, I am also able to model proper use of computers and how to take standardized tests electronically, which is a new initiative for our school district.
This project is extremely important for my students.
It provides exposure to many things unseen by these young, eager minds. This projector set will enhance their young senses of sight and hearing as they apply concepts learned into live, visual and auditory activities on their brand new projector and speakers! We would be forever grateful to you donating to such a worthwhile cause!
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
