Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These materials will enhance the small group work that we do everyday in class. The book bins will help to organize our library and the individual students' reading materials so they can have easy access to them. Students will be able to continue developing a love for reading books and they will be able to progress at their own pace with the books they have chosen, since they will be in their own book bin.

In my classroom creating small work centers benefit the students of our Title 1 school a great deal and in all subject areas, especially in reading and math.

These centers help to facilitate the growth of each student with a more personal connection.

The headphones are also essential to both math and reading groups. With the headphones students will be able to go onto the many online programs we use and have stories and problems read to them so they can further understand concepts presented.

The coin manipulatives will be extremely beneficial in creating hands on experiences for the students to learn about money. This will bring the materials to life for the students.

Having the materials be provided for my classroom will greatly enhance the growth and development of my second graders.
