My Project

My project consists of materials needed for my students to have hands-on experiences for learning centers while having fun and still learning. My students are young and require a wide variety of hands-on play materials to explore. This project will provide manipulatives to create centers for my students to learn to sort their shapes, colors, beginning sounds and more while working on their fine motor skills. My classroom continuously focuses on routines and procedures. I need to build as many opportunities for my students to learn their academic skills. I am requesting Shapes Discovery Boxes, Color Discovery Boxes, Beginning Sounds Phonemic Awareness Box, Rhyming Sounds Phonemic Awareness Box and more.

Fine motor skills are an everyday task my students work on in the classroom.

I have a diverse group of students, which includes many different levels of learning. My students will be able to spend their learning center time engaging in playful hands on activities They will play and sort with the the boxes of shapes and colors and increase fine-motor strength. I will be able to have them play with play with crayons while building their vocabularies and blending at the same time. These will provide another opportunity during play to have students interact and work on social skills. The additional resources will provide different ways to expose them to these skills. As they are learning these basic skills, they will build fine-motor strength to be able to write, color, and cut later in the year and beyond preschool.
