Learning Can Be Fun!

Help me give my students opportunities to learn through play. Learning to play and engage with others is an important skill for children.

My Students

My students are multicultural and diverse second graders from a large city in Maine. My students speak up to four different languages and come from several different countries. Many of my students need tools to help them focus and engage in learning activities.

My students are loving, curious, and eager to learn about the world around them.

Due to limited resources, we have difficulty getting the materials and tools that my students need.

My Project

Learning to play is an important and necessary skill. Our indoor recess games and puzzles are missing pieces or falling apart. It is difficult to find what we are looking for and it can be very frustrating. This DonorsChoose project includes interactive games and puzzles along with long-term storage solutions. So we can keep items organized and tidy. We will not only use the games and puzzles for indoor recess but also for additional social-emotional learning.

Learning to play and interact with peers is essential lifelong skill children need as they grow older.

Games and puzzles allow students to practice working with others, problem-solving, resilience, and many more life skills.
