Help me give my students a comfortable day of learning
while focusing on their classroom activities sitting in comfortable seat cushions in the plastic classroom chairs.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have some amazing 4th graders whose passion for learning is beyond this world. We stay in the same room and learn different subjects all day. I try to plan some pleasant transitions and brain breaks to avoid the monotony. But sometimes I notice that they are losing interest in the classroom activities because they have been sitting on school plastic chairs for a long time.
My students would pay more attention and enjoy learning if I can make their 7 -8 hour learning day a little more comfortable by providing flexible seating.
They deserve to engage fully in their exploration whether they are reading, writing, or creating new ideas.
The seating options that I have selected would give them a choice to find seating that helps them be comfortable and more focused.
Some of my students with special needs will benefit from the wiggly seats as it helps them concentrate.
