My Students
I have a class of 30 respectful, smart, and responsible students. Over 90% of my students live in poverty and their families are struggling to make ends meet. School supplies are not a priority for most. I love that my students are resilient and continue to beat the odds regardless of the situation.
My Project
I’m setting my students up for success by supplying their education. School supplies invests in my student’s futures by improving the resources available to students. ... When you donate necessary school supplies, you relieve many families of a financial stressor that influences how prepared their children are for curriculum. Many of my students come from
low-income homes and are not able to purchase supplies.
Copying paper, tape, and folders will help my students be prepared and ready to learn. The district’s budget normally doesn’t allow for school supplies. Teachers are responsible for making sure students have what they need. Curriculums and lessons can be meaningful and exciting, but not without the supplies needed to teach them. Help make learning fun again.
