My students need more resources to meet new technology needs. I am asking for an iPad and Osmo interactive, hands-on, educational activities for the iPad.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Younger's classroom raised $515

My Students
I teach a wonderful group of first graders at a school in Southern California where 40% of the students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, and 100% of the students receive free breakfast daily.
Our school loves to integrate the arts and technology into our academics because we know that many students get inspired and thrive in an atmosphere where they can explore and have fun too.
We are a school full of many cultures, and many students speak another language other than English at home.
My Project
While we do small-group centers in my classroom, we usually have one group working with our teacher's assistant (reading, most often), and the other groups are either working independently or with me in a small group, so students can get more personalized instruction from me. The iPad Center will facilitate a higher-level, more interactive, center where students can maximize learning in their independent time, while I work with others. Osmo interactive games use the iPad's camera and touchscreen to capture the movements of actual, tangible items manipulated by the student to put their work on the screen - a true interactive, hands-on experience. These resources are highly praised by other educators.
