My Students
My kindergarten students are full of life! They love to learn new things everyday. Living in a large city, school budgets are tight, and it is difficult for families to provide all the materials that students need in order to learn and grow each day. My students want to do their best and have the same opportunities as other students. They are full of life and always like to try new things. My students love projects and are very creative!
My Project
Learning how to read is monumental. In Kindergarten, kids don't just learn the alphabet anymore, they are becoming fluent readers by the end of the year. In my classroom, students go to literacy centers every day. In these centers, they reinforce the skills that they need to become great readers.
Books on CD provide my students with the opportunity to hear fluent reading and focus on story comprehension.
Books on CD also provide my students with the opportunity to practice reading along, while I am working with a small group of students. The fiction and non-fiction selection ensures that there is something for everyone in the class to be interested in.
