My Students
Do you remember when you were learning to read and learning all the phonics skills needed to read? I do. I want reading and the skills needed to read to be fun and interesting for my students. The Leapsters will make it fun for my students and bring technology into the learning process.
The students I teach come from a diverse socioeconomic community.
Our school is located in a high poverty area. Our school is a Title 1 school with 75% of the children receiving free or reduced lunch. The children come from a variety of ethnically diverse backgrounds ranging from Hispanic to Native American to Asian and Caucasian.
I teach kindergarten reading lab but do not have any technology to help teach literacy skills. Our school district has had many cuts in the budget and can't afford to buy additional items to help with teaching skills.
My Project
I want to have successful students who love reading. The Leapfrog Leapsters and games will help them learn the necessary phonics and literacy skills needed to become successful readers for life. They will make learning literacy skills fun and exciting because of the technology the students will get to use. The Leapfrog Leapsters and games will allow each child to work at their own level making each student feel successful.
My students need Leapfrog Leapsters and games to help them become successful readers in life.
They like to have fun while learning and the Leapsters and games will allow them to have fun but they will be learning at the same time.
