Learning by Doing!

Help me give my students hands on engaging manipulatives to assist in learning. My students this year have significant fine motor deficits and these items will TRULY make a game changing outcome in their education!

My Students

My students walk into the classroom every day with many backgrounds, stories, situations and struggles but no matter what, they still try so very hard. I teach learning support students and over 75% of my children from year to year are on free/reduced breakfast and lunch. They often do not get to experience other things that children take for granted but we try our very best here to provide the same opportunities for ALL children like book fair shopping, field trips that cost money that the parent is supposed to provide, backpacks filled with food on the weekends so that we are certain that they are eating when they aren't with us, hygiene items and clothes so that they can feel fresh and awake, ready to learn each day!

Despite so many hardships that most of these children encounter, my students are always eager to learn and do their best.

We need more hands on manipulatives to make this happen. If we happen to go remote again, these children need to be better equipped with materials at home in order to have success. We are very limited on resources to send home to help make learning fun!

My Project

My students this year have significant fine motor delays and these tactile items will make a MASSIVE impact on their education and learning. Most of them are unable to properly hold a pencil and need alternative ways to learn life skills. These materials would be greatly appreciated and benefit those that learn by doing.

I thank you in advance for blessing my students with these much needed items.

They will be able to take them home if we begin teaching remotely in the future. Each child will have their own "kit" to keep.
