Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My high school students are passionate, self-aware, and driven. They come from all over Las Vegas and represent the diversity of the city.
Our school works hard to create a safe environment where all students feel welcome and a part of a supportive community.
We value and build strong relationships with one another, families, and amongst our community.
I work with high school students. My biology honors students are eager learners always asking about how to relate the content to everyday life.
My students come from diverse backgrounds. The majority of them live in low-income housing and receive free or reduced-price lunches.
My Project
This project will help boost my students' interest in learning Biology. Teaching and learning became more interesting and exciting if the resources such as printed materials and worksheets will be colored. It will spice up their experience in learning the subject matter for they will not be bored answering the worksheets since it will be printed in colored. I believed that this will also boost their interest in answering/doing the task given to them. A printer that can print colored materials will be very helpful in catching their interest. With that, they will be encouraged to finish the tasks given.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
