This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having picnic tables outside would create a valuable extension of our classroom space, offering students a refreshing environment for learning and collaboration. Outdoor seating provides a change of scenery that can boost focus, creativity, and engagement—especially for hands-on projects, group work, and brainstorming sessions. Fresh air and natural light contribute to improved mood and energy levels, which in turn support better academic performance and student well-being.
An outdoor table will offer a much-needed place for group activities, connections, choice, and freedom of thought.
The outdoor table will be used for discussions, lessons, and relationship-building. Students will benefit from the flexibility and stimulation of a more dynamic, engaging environment. We can transform this unused space into a vibrant hub of learning, laughter, and community.
