This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a unique urban school. My students come from a variety of backgrounds. I teach students kindergarten through fifth grade, and many of them have individual needs that do not allow them to attend a traditional school on a daily basis.
Many of my students have emotional and social issues, frequent medical treatments, safety concerns, difficulty in a traditional school setting and/or are homeless.
My students each face their own challenges every day outside of school. Some are grade levels behind and others are grade levels ahead.
My Project
Ever need something so basic that it seems that everyone around you has it? My students and I find ourselves there daily.
These materials will not only help my students be successful in the classroom for a hybrid model but at home on the computer as well.
My students are the most successful when they are fully prepared and these things will help me in preparing them to learn well. These items will not only help my students, but also myself, to be more effective. Whiteboards and dry erase markers are just a few of the things students are no longer able to share. During this time of COVID students need their own. Your donations will help students be safe, as well as prepared.
Being prepared is the key to being successful in the classroom. I want to provide my students with the most opportunities to do this.
